Toughest Race in the World
Here at McCluskey Automotive, we love races of every kind. Car racing, boat racing, anytime you have people competing in a contest of speed, we’re pretty much down to watch. That being said, we sometimes think that foot racing can be a little boring, right? Who wants to watch people run around a clean, manicured track? We here at your home for Cincinnati Ohio used cars crave a little more intensity in our racing, and that’s why we’re happy to tell you about the Red Bull 400, one of the toughest footraces in the world.
Do you ever watch the olympics? Have you seen those super-steep hills they use for the ski jumps? Yeah, one of those hills is the racecourse in the Redbull 400. Competitors must run straight up the hill at an average gradient of about 45%. That means that in some places, this race is pretty near to a climb. We here at your car dealerships in Cincinnati OH think we’re pretty tough, but we’re getting out of breath just thinking about it!
So far the current record for the 400 meters is 4 minutes and 57 seconds. It may seem slow given how short the race is, but that just tells you how truly brutal this course can be. What do you think, can you do better?
