Dickey's Barbecue Pit is opening tomorrow in Amelia

This week is THE week. The week that savory, delicious barbecue hits Amelia. That’s right, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, the savory fast-casual chain that specializes in pit-smoked Texas barbecue will open its new location at 11 a.m. Thursday morning. For those of you who are ready to dive right in on Thursday, you can find it at 1227 Ohio Pike right next to the Pierce Point Cinema. That isn’t that long of a trek after you snag a used vehicle at our Cincinnati dealer. They have got it all, and we can’t wait to take that first bite!

It is the real deal, with different meats from beef brisket, to pork ribs, to turkey breasts. Each and every piece is seasoned and slow smoked right on sight. They have the classic sides for a barbecue, such as green beans with bacon, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, as well as some more creative ones like the jalapeño beans. Even the baked potatoes and salads can be topped with barbecue (the gargantuan potato can be seen in the clip below). Meals come with rolls and ice cream, and kids (we are jealous) get to eat free on Sundays. It is the first local store for the Dallas-based franchise, and we couldn’t be more excited.

The first 50 dine-in customers on Thursday will get a gift card valued at up to $50. On Friday, B 105 FM will be on site from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches will be sold; and three guests will win free barbecue for a year. Saturday is going to feature giveaways as well. Talk about the right way to launch a new location! They’ll be open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, so be sure to get your fill!
