Chevrolet announces plans to advertise during Super Bowl XLVIII
With the NFL football season just starting, the excitement surrounding Super Bowl XLVIII has already begun. Folks are deciding where they will be watching the event, well before anyone even know what two teams will be facing off. Arguably the biggest event in sports, and definitely the most watched event on television, self-proclaimed NFL experts are already making predictions on which team will be taking home the coveted title. Almost as exciting as the match-up itself, is the buzz that surrounds the commercials that air during the Superbowl. Large corporations pay top dollar to get a chance to advertise their products in front of over 100 million viewers – whether it be for the newest cars, or simply a cheese-flavord chip, audiences around the world wait in anticipation to see these creative commercials.
Last year, Chevrolet pulled their advertisement from airing during the telecast last year, but will reportedly be making up for it in 2014. Chevrolet has officially announced their plan to have commercials during Super Bowl XLVIII, and are no doubt busy planning what their advertising spots will look like. Tim Mahoney is Chevrolet’s new Global Chief Marketing Officer who says that, “The timing of Super Bowl XLVIII lines up perfectly with our aggressive car and truck launch pads. The Super Bowl is a great stage for showcasing the Chevrolet brand and our newest cars and trucks.”
